Interlibrary Loan Workshops in the Library starting soon.

Welcome back!

Many of you already take advantage of our interlibrary loan services at the library, but not all of you do!  It’s time for everyone to get familiar with the process.  Why?  Simply put, no library can ever be exhaustive.  Don’t get me wrong; we have a great collection for a small library, but we just can’t be everything for everyone all the time (despite our best efforts).  Invest a half hour of your time to set up an account and learn how to request all types of materials from other libraries.  For those who haven’t used it, I think you’ll be impressed with how easy it can be.  We will create accounts, use resources such as Worldcat and various databases to find resources and practice borrowing materials from other libraries.

Beginning  Thursday, September 8th each Thursday in September I will be hosting orientation sessions to interlibrary loan.  Sessions will be held in room E105 (in the library).  Sessions will run as follows:

Thursday Sept. 8, 15, 22 & 29

Session 1 - 2:00-2:30 pm

Session 2 - 2:30-3:00 pm

Session 3 - 3:00-3:30 pm

Session 4 - 3:30-4:00 pm

RSVPs are great, but feel free to drop in at any of those times.
