May is Mental Health Awareness Month

“For any mental disorder (including substance disorders), the lifetime prevalence rate is an astonishing 57.4 percent. That’s more than every 1 in 2 Americans. If you don’t think mental illness will impact your life, you’re sadly mistaken. If it doesn’t hit you, it’s going to hit someone you love or are close to.”—from the PsychCentral Website

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, the Hermann Memorial Library has put on a small display of mostly recent printed books on this subject.  These books may be checked out.  They are only a sampling of our holdings in this subject area.  Our librarians would be glad to show you other print and electronic sources for research.
