Library adds new collection “Credo Reference”

 Credo Reference Service is Here!

What is Credo Reference and how can it help me?

With Credo Reference, you get content from hundreds of reference books covering every major subject. There are over 3 million entries, 200,000+ images (art, diagrams, maps and photos), and over 100,000 audio pronunciation files and sound clips. The content is enriched by a network of cross-reference links that cut across topics and titles to give you accurate, contextual results. It is the perfect way to get brief, reliable definitions, articles, and overviews of a topic you are planning to research in depth.  Once you are in Credo Reference you can expand your search to include a selection of other databases and sources available at the Hermann Memorial Library.

Where can I access this database?

Start at the Library Home Page, and then, in the right hand menu column under Find Resources, click on Reference Resources to bring up a page containing, among other resources, the Credo Reference link.  You may connect to Credo Reference from off campus: you will be asked to give your SUNYSullivan computer userid and password to authenticate you to this database.  A librarian will be glad to help you get started.  Use one of the access points on the Library Home Page to connect you to a librarian: use email, phone or live reference chat with a librarian.

I want to know more.
