Constitution Day Events
September 17, 2011 (Observed September 16, 2011)

On September 17, 1787, the delegates to the Constitutional Convention met for the last time to sign the document they had created. We encourage all Americans to observe this important day in our nation’s history by attending local events in your area. Celebrate Constitution Day through activities, learning, parades and of course reading. The Library has mounted a small display of recent books on the Constitution, Constitutional Law, and the Supreme Court just inside the entrance to the main floor reference area.  Please have a look; you may check out these books. Ask a librarian about our bibliography of printed and electronic books in our collection on this topic: it is available as a printed handout, and also available on our library web page (click here). This select bibliography may be a good start for a research paper on the Constitution.
